By John Swainston
PROMPT — Joy is ...
Visited many places in my life.
There are those that I remember
and some forgotten or wish I could.
There is a place I visited where my
whole body experienced both joy
and my soul filled to overflowing.
A redwood forest:
Smell of Redwood trees, Gods
perfume.
Looking at General Sherman,
one of the tallest trees in the world –
275 feet.
Taste the breeze on your lips.
Listen to the singing birds, unseen.
Hug a tree, feel the bark, rough and
deep red in color.
When you need a Soul Mechanic you
can find yours in Nature.
