PROMPT — Who am I today?
I've heard through stories
about my ancestors—
they told—a petal can sing
a song from before existence—
now as I look upon time
and see a rhythm—a melody,
I listen to a voice, a voice born
from a petal, one no longer
here—living before us,
after we forget our past
