Cemetery Door

By Hector Rodriguez

PROMPT — The way I see it ...

Don’t fear the inevitable.

Embrace your ending.

We enter and leave this world.

We enter through the door of the womb.

Leave through the door of the cemetery.

Cemeteries are the body’s permanent resting place.

A state of eternal rest.

One is never alone.

Hundreds came before us.

Hundreds will come after.

Our spirits will gather in the cemetery.

We’ll journey to the door of the universe.

Our spirits will fuse with the cosmos energy.

We will become one with the universe.

While not visible, we continue to exist!

Is this possible?

What do you think?

Everything is composed of matter.

Energy is not visible but exists.

Black holes are not visible but exist.

The universe is waiting.

Its door to eternal existence is open.

The black hole is our soul’s forever resting place.
